ABOUT THE CREATOR

paul gustafson moonveil creator

Paul Gustafson is a screenwriter, registered nurse, clinical hypnotherapist, and musician based just outside Boston. For over two decades, he has worked in private practice, guiding clients through memory, trauma, and deep subconscious change. Earlier in his career, he served in hospice care, helping patients and families navigate the final threshold with clarity and compassion.

His storytelling lives in that same liminal space between science and intuition, psychology and myth.

Moonveil began as a whisper, a slow-burning question that wouldn’t let go. It’s not a pitch. It’s a signal.

Why Moonveil?

Moonveil didn’t begin as a pitch. It started with a quiet question:
What if the strangest place you could end up was your own hometown, just 100 years too early  and warped by something that doesn’t belong?

What followed wasn’t a typical time travel story. No wormholes. No chosen-one tropes. Just a woman out of time, forced to survive and adapt in a version of reality where memory, perception, and physics don’t quite line up.

As a hypnotherapist and nurse, I’ve spent years listening to what people don’t always say what they feel, store, and struggle to name. Moonveil pulls from that space. It’s a slow-burn mystery built around emotional realism, psychological strangeness, and a character who learns that the shimmer inside her might be harder to escape than the one outside.

This project isn’t just a script. It’s a fully built series with completed episodes, a bible, and a distinct creative point of view.

It’s meant for reps and producers who recognize the power of a slow burn.
